The essence of triangulation measurement is to analyze the light field modulated by the surface morphology of a three-dimensional object, in order to obtain the three-dimensional information of the object surface. The basic structure of measuring the surface morphology of an object using the triangulation method is shown in the figure:
The linear laser emitted from the laser irradiates the surface of the target to be measured, and within a certain depth range of the target surface, the laser approximately propagates along a plane. Any point on the laser contour is imaged onto a pixel in a high-speed camera, and after calibration by the high-speed camera, each pixel corresponds one-to-one to a spatial line. The intersection of the laser propagation plane and the spatial line determined by the pixel point determines the contour point. Using this principle, the three-dimensional coordinates of each laser point in a laser profile can be calculated.
3DThe measurement accuracy of the measurement system mainly depends on the imaging size of the high-speed camera pixels in the object space, the frame rate of the high-speed camera, the motion error of one-dimensional scanning, and the accuracy of system calibration. The measurement system using ordinary high-speed cameras requires developers to process the high-speed images output by the camera themselves, locate the laser lines on the surface of the object, and solve the three-dimensional coordinates of the contour based on the principle of triangulation.
